Giant inflatable rabbits have gone on display in Aberdeen.

The glowing seven-metre tall bunnies were placed on Union Terrace Gardens in the city yesterday.

The art installation will be kept on display until January 15.

Designed by Australian artist Amanda Parer, the eye-catching art installations will be inflated everyday at 10am and deflated at 9pm.

However, the sculptures had to be deflated early yesterday due to the high winds.

Business organisation Aberdeen Inspired worked with the artist to bring the bunnies to the gardens.

Amanda said: “I am very excited to be bringing my giant glowing rabbits to Aberdeen, Scotland’s silver city.

“The idea of having these giant pieces on display is that they don’t fit in.”

The Intrude art installations have been on display around the world, most recently in Istanbul at the Light Festival and the Lightwaves Festival in Manchester.
