I was very grateful to Paul for his help to me as a litigant in person in bringing a High Court challenge against an inspector’s decision. Without his expertise I don’t think I would have got permission to proceed to a full hearing.
He is that rare creature, an experienced and knowledgeable planning lawyer who charges reasonable fees
Just a quick note from Diane and myself to say “many thanks” for the work that you recently did for us in respect of the properties at [address].
The outcome was better than we could have expected, so we obviously had the right person acting for us!
I live in a Green Belt area where it’s almost impossible to get planning permission.
I suffered from a restriction on my property’s permitted development rights imposed by the Council in 1993.
I discovered that such conditions should only be imposed in exceptional circumstances and I approached various consultants all of whom dismissed the possibility of getting the condition lifted.
Paul gained 16 years extensive planning experience as a local authority solicitor.
He did not rule out my case as “difficult” or something beyond him (as the other consultants had).
The application was made to a very difficult Council and the Inspector at appeal found their inaction was “unreasonable behaviour”.
I appealed against non-determination of the application and with Paul’s assistance succeeded in having the condition lifted – and obtaining a full costs order against the Council!
I can recommend Paul wholeheartedly. His knowledge and interest is first class!
A very big thank you for acting on our behalf and successfully gaining the certificate for the stationing of our caravan at … Throughout the whole process you have been extremely helpful and explained proceedings and possible outcomes.
I thoroughly recommend Exeter Planning. I count my lucky stars when I came across their website. They were very patient, explaining the type of application I needed. They were totally efficient, reliable and knowledgeable. It was a pleasure from start to finish. Thank you again
Just a tremendous thank you for the work completed at very short notice in my recent and complex planning issue. Your advice was pivotal in the positive outcome. We will consult with you in all future matters.
A very late Happy New Year and also a big thank-you for all the excellent work that went into your submission to the Secretary of State’s Office regarding the road proposals. Whilst I appreciate that this is “all in a day’s work” for you I would still like to say how impressed we all were with your skill in grasping the situation so quickly and expertly, and acting so promptly on our behalf.
Thank you for all your help on [case name] whilst I was away. I very much appreciated the detailed letter which went with the application.
Fellow residents have given marginal input but the overwhelming response is that you have succinctly and convincingly captured the argument presenting a strong case for the residents.
Many thanks. You are a gem.
Thanks for your time and patience on this. Irrespective of the result of the (yet to be determined) appeal, please be sure that I will be recommending you to any of my friends or colleagues in a similar situation.
Thanks for the draft letter which was very well written.
Thank you so very much for taking the time and trouble to write this very helpful and informative email. It has clarified the situation. Should we wish to proceed with the purchase we would certainly procure your services to make an application on our behalf.
Actually I think it is us that owe you a real vote of thanks. For the record-if ever anyone asks me to recommend a planning expert, I would have no hesitation in recommending you. Your effort on this issue has been exceptionally professional. You can quote me.
We can’t thank you enough for the work you put in. We will definitely recommend you to anyone we come across in need of advice and help, and obviously we have a long way to go in our planning future so watch this space.
We would like to express our sincere thanks for your very professional and efficient service. In this minefield of planning law and red tape at least we know that whatever decision the planning committee reach we have, with your guidance and advice, given the matter our very best chance to obtain a positive outcome, and will have no hesitation in recommending you to friends and colleagues who might find themselves in the same situation
I think the case you’ve put is impressive and compelling. I think you’ve made the right points, and made them strongly. With your evidence and Allan’s appraisal I think we’ve got a very good chance. Thank you very much.
Thank you very much for this. It brought some moment of joy and entertainment in this otherwise miserable process. It’s absolutely what we need.
Thank you for your summary.
I am aware of three things:
(a) It is very thorough
(b) It moves us on very well. Three important arguments for, whilst demolishing some embarrasing arguments it would be better not to make!
(c) It has taken you more time than you charged for.
I am very grateful
You are most welcome to quote the above
Very many thanks for the draft letter opposing the proposed fisherman’s store/cafe. It was very professionally written and dealt with all the points most efficiently. Once again sincere thanks for your guidance and advice in this matter
I am aware that we owe you your fee for this work.
We are in Ireland for the foreseeable few months and haven’t been home since April.
I have been assuming your invoice will arrive by email as all other correspondence has been but just in case you have sent anything in the post you need to know that we won’t see it as it is not routinely sent on and relies on our son picking it up now and then.
Not that we’re usually so keen to pay bills but we are very pleased with the results you achieved!
